Michael Sharp is Professor of Worship Studies in the Division of Church Music Ministries at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Working from the Main Campus in New Orleans, he serves as coordinator of the Master of Arts in Worship Ministries degree as well as coordinator of music for campus Chapel services. Prior to joining the NOBTS faculty, he and his wife, Leanne, served with the International Mission Board as music missionaries to Venezuela. In addition to leading workshops for worship musicians here in the U.S., each year he travels to seminaries overseas to provide leadership training in worship ministry to pastors and church leaders. Many of these workshops focus on biblical foundations for worship and theology of worship.
